Wine Tasting

We’re delighted to offer private wine tastings by prior appointment for groups of up to 8 people at our small tasting room in St. Helena.

No busy tasting bar, no crowd — just you, our wine, and whichever of us is free that day.

Every tasting is hosted by a member of the Snowden family or by one of our two longtime staff members — in a single-group, one-room tasting room that seats up to eight. It's an unscripted conversation about the ranch and the wines.

Scheduling

We schedule tastings by matching your availability with our schedules. When we receive your request, we'll check around with family and key staff and as soon as we have someone available, we'll confirm the date and time with you. Response times can vary -- we usually need several working days to confirm. Lead time is often longer during harvest season and holiday periods.

Cost

The tasting fee is $40 per person and includes four wines. We don't require payment in advance. For every $100 spent on wine during your visit, $40 of your tasting fee is credited toward the purchase. Tasting fees are waived for wine club members and their guests, and club pricing applies to any wine purchased by members or their guests during the tasting.

Location

We'll send directions when we confirm your reservation. Tastings are limited to guests 21 and older, and all tasters should bring ID. Children are welcome to accompany tasting parents, and well-behaved pets are welcome, too.

Reservation Cancellation Policy

If your plans change, please let us know as soon as you can — we schedule a host specifically for your visit, and early notice lets us offer that time to another guest.

Health Note

Because our tastings are private and hosted personally, in an enclosed space, we ask that guests reschedule if they're experiencing symptoms of a cold, flu, or other contagious illness — for everyone's comfort, including our own. We're glad to work with you on a new date, and we'll waive any tasting fee owed if you need to cancel for this reason.
